Succumbed To Infection
(Eyes Of The Dead Productions)

The amount of tracks considering the running time already gives a hint, what kind of style this project might be playing. This sick one-man project from Thessaloniki in Greece is addicted to Goregrind. For me, "Succumbed To Infection" is the right soundtrack for cruising in the car during the summer time. The 25 sick tracks (including DAHMER cover) will put a smile on the face of all lunatics of this style and fans of bands like REGURGITATE, GENERAL SURGERY, older NASUM or even old CARCASS will love this output. The tracks bristle up with all trademarks this style should have in my opinion. Excellent grooves, slow and fast parts, blast-beats and harmonizer distorted vocals sounding like a dying man vomiting out his croaking soul. The guitars seem to have the same Scandinavian influenced style, the above mentioned bands were famous for. Excellent guitar work and fuckin' heavy grooves. The songwriting is really outstanding and of highest quality. Instead of simply offering some silly noise, this guy really has high songwriting skills with proper incorporated melodies and grooves. Similar to NASUM, the production is nearly perfect and very strong. All instruments and especially the vocals are perfectly balanced and make this output a diverting small trip into the sick little world of mastermind NX5, who is responsible for all instruments and the fine organic drum-programming. Really enjoyable output and the last Grind project I liked that much was Germany's famous horde JAPANISCHE KAMPFHOERSPIELE. Fans of this genre must check this sick output out. Recommended track from my side to check is 'Hydrocarbon Inhalation', but all 25 tracks let me hunger for some more material of this sick guy.
