Ode To Gore
(Xtreem Music)
33:34min

Another band that is probably easy to relate by just looking at the cover art, band name and lyrics. Yeah, gore! And add to that a very heavy and brutal Death Metal machine. Actually this is a lot better than I expected as I was expecting it to be more in the American brutal Death Metal style, but no, this is actually more closer to Swedish CREMATORY, BALVAZ, UTUMNO with references to early SUFFOCATION and IMMOLATION. The buzzing downtuned guitars are doing chunky and fat riffs without going into chaos, more into a controlled faster and mid paced aura, yet very crushing. These five gore obsessed people from Finland have created a very strong album for their debut, which is also suffocating and obscure, yet with some very catchy riffs and memorable songs. If you like the works of bands like KRYPTS or CORPSESSED I will suggest you to add this one on your list for all-gore no-fun Death bloodsoaked Metal. www.facebook.com/amputory, www.xtreemmusic.com
