ANATA
Dreams Of Death And Dismay
(Season Of Mist)
47:04min

ANATA are a band that hail from Sweden, wait damnit before you leave, they DO NOT play melodic Swedish Death. There, you're still here? Good. ANATA play some really fuckin sick and twisted Death Metal in a very technical vein. Yes they are melodic but its a technical melodic not like ARCH ENEMY melody, more like DEATH. 10 tracks of sheer Euro-thrash and good ol' fashioned American Death Metal. Too me it sounds like Corpsegrinder era CANNIBAL CORPSE, older MORBID ANGEL mixed in with AT THE GATES / old IN FLAMES. The vocalist sounds like Corpsegrinder I would say. ANATA use some very odd techniques and very fast picking mixed with triggered drums. I mean really if you are a fan of technical Death Metal there is no reason you shold not have this disc. Production sounds like it is very professional and crisp, bass heavy, and drum heavy, with a wall of loud guitars. This is a definite one people!!
