ANGELCORPSE
ANGELCORPSE
Of Lucifer And Lightning
(Osmose Productions)
36:31min

ANGELCORPSE have returned with a killer comeback album! "Of Lucifer And Lightning" is a strong piece of raw Death Metal in the typical ANGELCORPSE vein. Hopefully ANGELCORPSE keep on delivering crushing Death Metal and haven't lost a bit from their aggression. "Of Lucifer And Lightning" is an unstoppable whirlwind that crushes the listener with its killer riffing, the devastating drumming and Helmkamp's morbid vocals. This time they sound even more technically improved and all their compositions are more solid. The only "negative" comment is that the cover artwork is for me at least inferior comparing to their past releases. Plus I would prefer that they would use a production closer to the one of "The Inexorable". Still, if you ignore my two objections, I consider "Of Lucifer And Lightning" as one more great album from mighty ANGELCORPSE.
