ANIMA DAMNATA
Nefarious Seed Grows To Bring Forth Supremacy Of The Beast
(Godz Ov War Productions)
41:22min

Hailing from Wroclaw, Poland ANIMA DAMNATA plays a fine brand of heavily distorted, dark and barbarous kind of Satanic Death / Black Metal. Their sound is a balanced mix of the mighty ANGEL CORPSE and bestial Black Metal à la NAKED WHIPPER and SADISTIK EXEKUTION, a mix which is definitely worth checking out. They have the fine components of prior Death Metal but also the good ferocious arrogance of more current bestial War Black Metal. This stuff is not just relentlessly brutal, it is catchy, extremely versed and evil to the bone. You will find solid songwriting here, with a use of hammering double bass and guitar solos, which are hard to find these days. Necrosodom's vocals also greatly stand out amongst the bands other releases, as they almost sound like Glen Benton from time to time. When it comes down to it all, "Nefarious Seed Grows To Bring Forth Supremacy Of The Beast" is a devastatingly heavy album. The production is tweaked just perfect, so that it's always loud and chaotic, without getting overbearing, and also without one production element ever drowning out another. Check out songs like 'Uprising Lucifer' or 'His Light Shines Upon Me' and try not to like this fabulous album. Brilliant! www.facebook.com/animadamnataofficial, www.godzovwar.com
