If a band chooses a futuristic name like ANTARES PREDATOR and the cover artwork of their debut decorates a winged cyborg the conclusion to the presented music is not that difficult. The band consists of ex-members of such respected bands as BELPHEGOR and KEEP OF KALESSIN and they have found the perfect moment for the releases of their debut "Twilight Of The Apocalypse". Their two main sources of inspiration had finally surrendered - EMPEROR and ZYKLON - and they had the big opportunity to easily fill up this void. The presented 10 songs are typical clinical Death Metal with some minor Black Metal influences (mainly the supporting bombast) and ANTARES PREDATOR definitely expecting the comparison with Samoth's premium band. Would like to advise further breathtaking facts but the album is strictly following the standard rules and the listener is getting what he expects - without any exception. In 2010 this is for sure not enough to turn pure steel into gold and even in a calm month like February this album is nothing more than a further average release which will fading into dust in due time. www.myspace.com/antarespredator, www.myspace.com/battlegodproductions
