ARS DIAVOLI
ARS DIAVOLI
The Absence Of Light
(Debemur Morti Productions)
22:18min

The last one from the three Debemur Morti Productions demo releases is the one man band ARS DIAVOLI from Portugal. And I have problems with this tape because the sound is worst. The only thing besides the sick screaming of the mastermind is the guitar distortion. And I think this is wanted, so it should show the incarnation of jingly riffs. But it only stretches my nerves and my ears and makes it hard to listen to. The songs are all midtempo without much variation of this speed. The voice is brutal screaming and I heard of people who noticed some melodies through the wall of sound. In the third song 'Human Mass Suicide' the distortion finds its climax before the demo ends with the instrumental 'Horizontes Perdidos' and a heavenly silence for my ears. No guitar only some sounds. This is only for people with good ears or great nerves. Nothing for me, sorry. But also only 300 copies available. www.debemur-morti.com
