BLACKCROWNED
BLACKCROWNED
With Wolvish Lust
(self-financed)
14:31min

Black Metal hordes emerging from South Africa are quite rare. Due to the lack of supporters down there the scene can be considered as clean and trendfree. BLACKCROWNED are the second serious hellish outfit (next to the brillant squad NICATAS DRUMER) which presents us here their debut demo entitled "With Wolvish Lust". Wurdalak and his warriors offer us raw Black Metal totally rooted in the underground. "Purist Hate" is a violent and harsh tune highlighted by morbid, dissonant keyboards and a raw, screamy blackened voice in the BURZUM vein (which is omnipresent on the whole demo). The title track 'With Wolvish Lust' has a cool basic riff in the beginning which soon turns into a chaotic outbreak of evil and slows down a little bit in the middle of the song. The morbid synths are also present here. The third track 'Inhale The Night' also has this change between chaotic fast parts and slower, midpaced sections. The last offer on this four tracker is an instrumental, a kind of ambient like track. The lyrical content seems to be influenced by Nietzsche due to a statement by this philosopher in the inlay card. This demo is pure underground Black Metal that incorporates the true essence of darkness and evil. The sound quality is raw and unpolished with some distortion / fuzzing on the guitars. Followers of infernal hordes like BURZUM, BEHERIT and others should have a listen and give them a try. Get in contact at: dmasalov@mail.com.
