BOMBNATION
BOMBNATION
H.A.Z.M.A.T.
(Profusion Productions)
40:42min

Great! What an intense and raging assault of total Thrash / Speed Metal here. Hailing from Quebec / Canada, BOMBNATION makes you headbang like a maniac and leaves you back with a diabolic grin in your face. If you are a Metalhead you will be possessed by their tunes right from the start. If not, you won't be Metal enough. Period. This is total old school stuff, just imagine a bastard brew of DESTRUCTOR, RAZOR and similiar acts (just to give you a small hint of their sound). "H.A.Z.M.A.T.", an abbrevation for "Horrific Atomic Zoological Mutation And Terror", features 17 tracks which are played with ferocious speed, enriched with some heavy and crushing mid paced sections. No superfluous, unnecessary stuff here - just pure, honest Metal madness. Not more, not less. This album (released in 2009) is really fun to listen to and the excellent production makes it even more enjoyable. Heavy, fat guitars, pounding fast forward drums creating a soundwave which takes no prisoners and crushes everything that stands in its way. Just have a listen to tracks like 'Mad Dog', 'Nuclear War', 'Human Scum', 'R.I.P. Mankind' or 'Unit 731', the debut of this four piece outfit totally shredds. I am craving for more! Hopefully their new output (which I still haven't heard) will be in the same vein, but I am sure these guys won't change that winning formula. All Thrashers should get in touch with these Franco Canadian maniacs at www.myspace.com/bombnation.
