BONE SICKNESS
BONE SICKNESS
Bone Sickness
(Detest Records)
4:48min

Old school Death Metal with a huge AUTOPSY influence is nothing special anymore in these times. To play it in such a quality as BONE SICKNESS present on their upcoming 7" EP through Detest Records is not that usual. I have to admit that these 2 songs are my first contact with BONE SICKNESS as I haven't heard their one and only demotape so far and just listened superficially to the songs on their myspace page. Mitch from BONE SICKNESS told me that those 2 news songs beat the demosongs by far and, yes, they turn out great. The band is currently in the writing-process for their upcoming 14-song LP which will be released through the US label 20 Buck Spin and still looking for a label taking care for the European market. This 7" EP will give them the necessary support as the 2 songs featured here are great Death Metal. AUTOPSY here and there (especially from "Severed Survival" times), MASTER, DEATHSTRIKE or REPULSION can be recognized, too. Everything done with class, tight played (yes, even for bands with such influences this can't be negative, haha) and even the sound is pretty good if you ask me. Still there's a "BUT" - in capital letters. I got those files from Mitch and thought at first that they are some kind of excerpts and that the whole recording is a little longer, though from what I understood and Mitch confirmed I have the complete songs. A playing time of little less than 5 minutes is even for a 7" EP too short if you ask me. Great music, great songs, but twice as much music on this vinyl wouldn't be a mistake. Decide for yourself if you think it's worth your money, however your decision looks like - make sure to keep an eye on this band as they are one of the really promising ones of the old school family. This seven-inch should be soon available at www.detestrecords.com or perhaps directly from the band: www.myspace.com/bonesickness.
