CARNAL CREATION
CARNAL CREATION
Yet External Exploration
(self-financed)
16:27min

This young bunch from Finland delivers a slab of highly promising brutal, yet not too modern sounding Death Metal on its first demo "Yet External Exploration". Competent musicianship, fierce and fast drumming, some nice melodic ideas now and then plus low and natural sounding growls characterize CARNAL CREATION's sound. A song like 'End Your Days' has a nice grinding edge whereas the other four tracks even dare to allude on Black Metal-like chord structures. Usually I try to find comparable sounding bands to describe the reviewed act, but in CARNAL CREATION's case nothing really pops up, so I guess these guys - as young as they still are - already have developed a pretty individual sound. Also regarding production, which they also did on their own, "Yet External Exploration" is already extremely good, not perfect, yet there's power and rawness to equal parts and it is simply a very entertaining MCD. If they kick out a little too soft tune like 'The Shadows Of The Winter Forest', get the chance to do a professional production CARNAL CREATION might deliver a hellish good album in the future, thumbs up! www.carnalcreation.net
