This three piece from Paris, France was founded in 1998 and after two demos, "Human Die" in 2000 and "Pepare Your Soul" in 2001, they have now released their debut album which delivers a brutal mix of Death / Thrash Metal with a few Grindcore elements, not very inventive at all, but skillfully played with passion and a lot of drive. None of the ten tracks is longer than three minutes, so there is no unneccessary ballast on this straight forward release. The rough and a bit undifferentiated production is a little drawback and really not up to date, but I think everyone who is into brutal old school Death / Thrash Metal will like the raw appeal of the songs. Sometimes they remind me of a more extreme version of MASSACRA's "Signs Of The Decline", with more blastbeats and more brutal guttural / scream vocals, that might give you an idea of what CARNAL LUST sound like.
