The glamour band KISS is for sure not a very frequent guest on our website but this time I need their assistance. Nearly 30 years ago they composed a song for their great "Destroyer" album called 'Great Expectations' and if it comes to the latest CEMETERY OF SCREAM release I feel in some way like Paul Stanley. The Polish band has released their great "Melancholy" debut over a decade ago and even after such a long period it's still one of the best Polish Metal releases. In these days the band had been in the position to send shivers down my spine, but these days are definitely gone and CEMETERY OF SCREAM anno 2009 have lost nearly every connection with their past. The band transformed into one of these Gothic / Rock hybrid bands - an evil way which had been followed (in vain) by so many others bands (PYOGENESIS, ATROCITY) - and even if I'm still a great fan of their debut is "Frozen Images" an album for our 'dear friends' from the Gothic disco around the corner and if it comes to this place I prefer the old HEADBANGERS AGAINST DISCO slogan - so "Burn down your local disco". www.cemeteryofscream.com, www.metalmind.com.pl
