COBRA
Lethal Strike
(Austral Holocaust Productions)
39:22min

COBRA is the newest one shot at glory sensation of the Peruvian Metal underground. These guys have been forging their path since 2005, releasing a couple of demos and splits plus a compilation and it looks like it took them good 6 years to present this debut full-length in full form. Have all these years been worth? Definitely yes! COBRA caught me offguard with their street-like, raging and extremely well played Heavy Metal, influenced by JUDAS PRIEST, ACCEPT, early HELLOWEEN and similar timeless classic acts. Their unreleting energy, savagery and consistency above all, will make Metalheads like me to worship this release in the months to come. The roaring wails, rumbling bass, wild axe riffing-soloing and last but not least the hammer-like drumming are the ingredients of each one of the 9 tunes on "Lethal Strike". Package-wise, there is nothing to be desired as the CD is presented on a nice regular version as well as a die hard including boxed CD, poster and embroidered shaped patch. All in all, there are other interesting releases that the label have put out recently so you can contact them at: www.myspace.com/australholocaustprods. Little bit expensive if you try to get it from their label, so you can still support the band directly at www.myspace.com/cobraperu or aerl87g@gmail.com.
