CORPSICKLE
CORPSICKLE
Zombie
(Grindhead Records)
38:00min

Zombie theme permeates aussies' CORPSICKLE album which is accordingly is called "Zombie". What strikes most is very low-tuned, sludgy guitars slugging along rather mechanical rhythmic section not unsimilar to those of MORTICIAN. This on the whole sounds quite sloppy and messy, but precise rhythms tighten the whole thing up from losening its bowels completely. So in some weird way CORPSICKLE pummels the listener into dark zombie underworld reeking with stinking entrails and rotting limbs. This Death Metal at its very primitive but powerful with slight Industrial overtones. Also pitchifted growls add to this psychedelic, zombiefrenic sickfest. The whole stew sounds original and possibly hallucinations might occur, for example when you start hearing clean woman voices on 'Necrophilia' and elsewhere. Add to this yummy titles like 'We Will Eat You', 'Faggot Of The Living Dead', 'The Disembowelment Chick' plus 21 more and you have one of the weirdest, sickest and truly stinking Death Metal releases of this year! So support CORPSICKLE and buy "Zombie"! www.grindheadrecords.com
