DAEMONIC
DAEMONIC
Daemonical Spell
(self-financed)
16:05min

The Californian Death Metal band DAEMONIC is another hopeful in the Death Metal world. Their 4 song demo (+ intro) "Daemonical Spell" offers great dark Death Metal with ultra deep vocals. I rarely have heard deeper vocals in a Death Metal band before. These deep vocals suit very well to the dark and brutal Death Metal hymns. According to their myspace-page they take influences from such acts as INCANTATION, MORTEM, PARALYSIS, IMMOLATION, POSSESSED, DEATH and more. Personally I hear mostly influences of INCANTATION in their songs and that's from my point of view the closest band I could find when comparing them to anyone. Fans of INCANTATION should dare a listen and I'm more than convinced that no one of those fans will be disappointed with DAEMONIC's "Daemonical Spell". The overall layout of the demo CD is quite simple and features not much information, but as the music is as good as it is I think this is not that necessary at all. The long intro (2:13 minutes) in the beginning is kinda annoying, though, simply because it's neither fun to listen to, nor has it any connection with the great music itself. The band might disagree here, simply as it has some kind of blasphemic message or whatever, I think the 4 "real" songs on this CD don't need such a long introduction as the quality of them speak for itself. I hope to hear some new erruptions from them soon as what I heard on "Daemonical Spell" let me hope for great works to come.
