DAMAGE SOURCE
DAMAGE SOURCE
...Come, Deterioration!
(Crawling Chaos Records)
18:15min

The German DAMAGE SOURCE are already around for a while now, yet it took them some years to get a stable line-up. Thus the band only released two self-released demos to date, “Raise Hell” and “Come Heresy...”. But now it's time for the first official release on a label. The title of the EP, “...Come, Deterioration!” seems to hint on a kind of sequel to the latest demo. So, what does this EP have in store for us? Thrash Metal is the game of DAMAGE SOURCE, rough and rude, brutal and fast. A little SLAYER styled riffing here meets parts on the edge of Death Metal there and we get a very tasty cocktail of the brute. All this might sound unspectacular at first reading, but in the (short) running time of “...Come, Deterioration!”, the stuff grows into a delicious meal for Thrash maniacs with a sense for class. Songs like 'Erection Of The Cross', 'Further Descending The Unholy Path To Deterioration' or the final 'Into Grinding Storms Of Flesh' are the right soundtrack to wreck your room. While listening to the EP, the thought occurred that DAMAGE SOURCE might be a nice touring partner for DEW-SCENTED. If all this appeals to you, check the band out at www.facebook.com/damagesource or http://damagesource.bandcamp.com.
