DARK DISCIPLE
DARK DISCIPLE
Unholy Hate Gore
(Morbid Records)
28:47min

Founded in 1999 in Maryland, DARK DISCIPLE come up with solidly executed, rather old school Death / Grind. The songs are played with passion and the band has probably spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room but there isn't much memorable about "Unholy Hate Gore", maybe except for some of the sick solos and the track 'Human Killing Machine' which starts out pretty creepy and also features some good rage as well as some cool groovy parts. It's a bit like: "Oh, yeah - that's a cool passage. Gimme more of that!" DARK DISCIPLE are talented but there's still a gap between them and most of the old masters. Maybe the record deal came a little bit too early, especially considering the masses of releases these days but I'm sure if DARK DISCIPLE spend some more time with the songwriting, they'll come up with something pretty strong. www.darkdisciple.com
