DEATH REALITY
DEATH REALITY
Bloodprints
(Morbid Records)

DEATH REALITY certainly belong to the strong German Death Metal bands. Especially this new album entitled "Bloodprints" proves me right. Technical yet pretty old school Death Metal. Never showing off, though. Good songwriting that definitely catches my attention. This also has to do with the effective vocal lines or the occasionally added melodic leads which sometimes remind me of the Gothenburg sound and more often of DEATH or rather NECROPHAGIST (without quite reaching the genius of those guys, though). Check out 'Divine Sickening Tragedy', for example. What also drives me pretty crazy is the acoustic track 'Ingenuous Thoughts' which reminds me of one of my alltime favorite Metal bands: HELSTAR (also without really reaching the level of the Texas bunch). DEATH REALITY don't belong to the masters of Death Metal (yet???) but "Bloodprints" is an album well worth to discover. Excellent cover by "Necrogayniac" Thomas Westphal, by the way. www.deathreality.de
