DEFACING
DEFACING
The Beginning Of Human Cruelty
(self-financed)
12:07min

In 2001 DEFACING were born under the moniker SPLATTERED EXCREMENTS. As soon as it was time for the Chilean brutal Death worshippers to record their first Demo "The Beginning Of Human Cruelty" they decided to leave behind their "very inventive" original name, which might have misplaced them in the Gore / Grind department. The four songs offered here are blasting extreme Death Metal reminding me of DISGORGE (US) and SEVERE TORTURE. Although you should not expect anything new on this one, DEFACING impress by being very professional, technically skilled and merciless violent. I do not have to tell you that this is not natural for a band's first demo. Although personally I would have preferred more individual sounding vocals and not this standard deep growling / gurgling so fucking common at the moment. Despite this minor point of criticism I can not find anything bad on this excellent demo, a band starting that damn good should have a bright future ahead of them. Spanish Xtreem Music thought the same and already signed DEFACING and will release the Chilean's debut full-length around early 2004. For additional information visit www.xtreemmusic.com or contact the band directly via cajarton@yahoo.com.
