DEGRADATION

DEGRADATION
Juggernaut
(self-financed)
30:34min

DEGRADTION is one of these new and hungry bands out there which keep the good old Thrash Metal spirit alive. Getting their main influences from the glorious '80s it sounds quite easy for this horde to revive the good old times. "Juggernaut" is the debut album of this Chicago based outfit after having released a four song EP (entitled "Unleashed") back in 2007. The brillant songwriting and the technical precision makes this full length a real underground gem. This one kicks major ass and most of the wanna-be bands or half-baked reunion albums into the gutter. Fast and straight forward Thrash Metal played with the necessary aggression, energy and passion. A lesson how todays Thrash has to sound like. Besides some killer grooves in the midpaced parts the tunes are spiced with excellent leads and vocals. They really keep up the great Metal tradition of their native town and make "Juggernaut" a real feast to headbang to. The band teamed up with Jonathan Clardy and were able to create a quite powerful and explosive production. A sheer wall of sound of total thrashing insanity. The seven own compositions and a marvellous cover of THE CROWN'S 'Executioner... Slayer Of Light' are totally worth your hard earned bucks. It should be just a matter of time till some major labels will pick this killer band up. If not they should seriously make some thoughts about their musical taste. In the meanwhile I just can advice you to get in touch with this raging horde at degradation.metal@gmail.com and to have a listen to tracks like 'A Necessary Evil', 'Juggernaut' or 'Degradation'. I am sure you won't regret it.
