DENOUNCEMENT PYRE
DENOUNCEMENT PYRE
Hells Infantry
(Forgotten Wisdom Productions)
25:30min

This Australian band impressed me with their mighty logo alone from the date I saw it first. What a great and impressive logo, hard to read, though, but who cares. You need to have a look at it if you don't know it yet. Anyhow, it's not the logo that counts but the music enclosed on this MCD called "Hells Infantry". 5 songs including a short intro of Black Thrash Metal in the Australian way. Some would call it War Metal, others Black Metal and the last group would probably call it Thrash Metal. It fuckin' doesn't matter, even as the band itself labels DENOUNCEMENT PYRE as Hell Metal on their myspace page I stick to the words Black Thrash Metal in the Australian way. I hear links to bands such as BESTIAL WARLUST, GOSPEL OF THE HORNS, DESTROYER 666 (their drummer on this recording is an ex-member of them by the way; he left beginning of this year) but also to the mighty Germans of DESASTER, this way you should get a quite good picture of their sound. It's raw, it's fast, and nevertheless it includes a lot of structures, pounding basslines, shredding guitars and fast but not blasting drums. It's the typical old Metal feeling and the old school spirit all over the place which you get each minute of this record. Check out www.myspace.com/denouncementpyre or order this MCD for the price of $11 / 9 € directly at decaylust@hotmail.com.
