DEPRAVED
DEPRAVED
Decadence & Lust
(Warpath Records)
29:16min

Bands like the French five-piece DEPRAVED are mainly the reason why I don't get into Grindcore. Despite all the intensity these lads are quite impressively deliver, there's just too little substance to be found in their writing. And their twelve track assault gets boring way too quickly for the simple reason that everything sounds too much alike (especially in the vocal department). The rather stupid packaging (s/m perversion to the most brutal extend, and artistically done on a very poor level) not necessarily helps to change my negative opinion (it's actually more the other way around), so I was kinda glad that this torture already stopped after only half an hour.
