DIABOLICAL SACRILEGE
DIABOLICAL SACRILEGE
To Dominate Their Psyche
(Antitheist Disseminations)
52:36min

Do you miss your slab of chaotic and grating on the ear Death Metal, then the debut full length from Minneapolis based DIABOLICAL SACRILEGE is what you should blast. The band has been around since 2005 and have released a demo and an EP, though this is my first encounter with them, and hopefully not the last. This is dirty and raw, the heavily distorted guitar is ripping out chaos, intertwined by grim melodies and a attack from the rhythm section, often broken apart in diffuse breaks and a quite neck breaking progression. The vocal assault is a grim and guttural growl that possesses evil and intense energy mixed with a frantic scream. Intense energy is the key to his album, even though it is quite down tunet and raw, on the verge to lo-fi, quite slow here and there, the music do always posses quite a dark and grim atmosphere and intense energy. It is quite nice to catch a Death Metal release out of the ordinary once in a while. Raw and brutal with a bit of thrashing Black Metal here and there, evil in its expression, and hard hitting with a lasting impression. This is a surprising attack that deserves some accolade as this is intelligent and well written Metal with some nice twists and turns.
