DISASTROUS MURMUR
DISASTROUS MURMUR
Daily Toilet Torturing

Already announced some time ago the second best known Austrian Death Metal band (after PUNGENT STENCH) DISASTROUS MURMUR now finally strikes back with an EP containing three new songs plus an excellent cover version of REPULSION's demo song 'Black Nightmare'. It's been four years since the last release "And Hungry Are The Lost" (Perverted Taste, 2001), but now things seem to look fortunate: this EP is already released and available since August, 1st and the completely recorded fourth full-length "Marinate Your Meat" will finally burst forth from the womb and entertain fans of simple yet effective old school Death Metal by the end of this year. Also on this EP DISASTROUS MURMUR kept 100% true to themselves and do not surprise with technical extravaganzas - as they never did - but deliver catchy, filthy traditional Death Metal tunes with some cool riffs, punching drumming, drive and groove to equal parts. The vocals are coarse, raw, fucked up and just fit fine to the slightly punky edge if DISASTROUS MURMUR's material. Though I consider the musical side of DISASTROUS MURMUR as somewhat unspectacular and the production as a little too sapless, it's a nice piece of "easy listening Death Metal". Recommended to traditionalists! www.cudgel.de
