DODSFERD
DODSFERD
Cursing Your Will To Live
(Moribund Records)
67:56min

No one can deny the risk-taking attributes of a band like DODSFERD and their label Moribund Records who are not afraid to release two albums of the same band during the same year. If you ask me, I can tell you that musically speaking DODSFERD have succedded on all fronts with their newest opus. "Cursing Your Will To Live" marks a return to the most rotten and grim roots of the Black Metal phenomena in which there is no place for sweet melodies or wimpy poses. The rockier passages of "Fucking Your Creation" have been diminished a little bit in order to incorporate more aggressive elements that makes the listening even more enjoyable. I don't know how they do it but this band manages to incorporate a wicked groove throughout the album that injects each and every song straight to your senses and allows you to actually remember the riffs after repeated listens. Memorable compositions? Yes, they definitely are and this is more than welcome in a scene of easily forgetable crap. Two excellent albums in a row is not an everyday event in a oversaturated Black Metal scene so I really encourage anybody remotely interested in good quality stuff to check this band out.
