DODSFERD
DODSFERD
Suicide And The Rest Of Your Kind Will Follow
(Moribund Records)
36:57min

The last DODSFERD album was promoted as being the first part of a trilogy. Following that logic, that would make this obnoxiously long-titled album the second part; the Two Towers of DODSFERD. Obviously, this "trilogy" won't win a movie contract with Peter Jackson. Hopefully, it won't earn any royalties, either. This is beyond ridiculous. For one thing, no album should be part of a trilogy. Not even SAVATAGE, the grand masters of sagas in Metal, can do that. Secondly, a Black Metal band as trite and stale as DODSFERD can't possibly offer anything substantive enough for a trilogy. There is simply no excusing such a bombastic stroke of idiocy. How self congratulatory can a guy get? Nevermind the ludicrous concept, the music itself is even worse; soulless wails, sloppy strumming, pathetic drumming, and a vulgar attempt at conjuring a sense of dementia through the guitar. DODSFERD has no right to compose a trilogy, much less an album of any genre. www.moribundcult.com
