DOOMED AND DISGUSTING
DOOMED AND DISGUSTING
Satanic Nightmare
(Battlegod Productions)
42:00min

The sad thing about this horrific album, is that despite the catchiness of each song in itself, the album as a whole turns out to be a boring monotonous execution of Dave Slave's Horror Metal. Each track follows the same formula, and Dave Slave uses the same effect on the vocals all over. In the end it feels like listening to one long song, which is about 35 minutes too long. Ok, some different effects here, some small and insignificant changes in the tempo there - but it's just not enough. Maybe if I was a drug-addict, this "Satanic Nightmare" would mean something. As of now, the noisy guitar-sound is annoying and the mentioned vocals tiresome. A sad thing, because the first track promises something evil to come. In the end, it's just a musical nightmare.
