ELUVEITIE
ELUVEITIE
Spirit
(Fear Dark)
50:50min

ELUVEITIE offer the same music like their label-mates of Royal Anguish. So, this is also a pain in the arses of all ordinary Metal guys. It is fine and nice that they get inspired by the legends of old Celtic mythology, but that is fukkin' worn-out to me and more than boring. I think, they will reach all those honey-wine drinking Vikings, Warriors and Witches, but this 'nice' sounding 'lalala' music is not of my interest (I know, it is a subjective opinion of mine). Again boring vocals (clear, growls and screams) can't give any atmosphere or impact to me. The music can be considered as brutal now and then, but without achieving a magnificent atmosphere. Unfortunately, this make the music of Eluveitie to a meaningless one to me. Nevertheless, they will find their fans. Worth to be mentioned must been the sound, even if I am not a fan of transparent and clear-productions this one, recorded at Klangschmiede Studio (by Markus Stock; Empyrium, The Vision Bleak), blows me away... even while being reminded on a heavier version of the Kelly Family sometimes (when watching pictures of such bands)! www.eluveitie.ch, www.fear-dark.com
