ENSIFERUM
ENSIFERUM
Ensiferum
(Spinefarm Records)
55:02min

It was only a question of time when the next band sounding like FINNTROLL was to be granted to the audience. Astonishingly this is also to be released on the same label like "Jakten's Tid". ENSIFERUM nevertheless might even include less Black Metal-influences but my first impression was (and still more or less is) a mixture of this Finnish Humppa-Metal-stuff (spelt correctly?) and BLIND GUARDIAN! And like FINNTROLL this is definitely not my cup of tea as I find it quite boring after a while. Perhaps someone should but explain that kind of humour to me and I will find something in it? Or I should have tried to listen ot that album drunk? I can imagine that this really does a cool job while you're puking because of massive alcohol-abuse or somehing, hehe ... For those who don't like to wait until the next FINNTROLL-release this may be a clue, but beside I can only recommend to stay away.
