EPICEDIUM
EPICEDIUM
Conspiracy With The Death
(self-financed)
29:48min

Cool intro: "now the worst possible situation has occured!" and then: fist in the listener's face! Fist? It's rather fists! I feel like beaten up the brutal Death Metal style! I came across EPICEDIUM through the "Ear Terror Festival" in Emden, Germany where they were supposed to play and although they couldn't, Bruno sent over a CD. It's already a little bit dated and received some real good reviews in a couple of German underground zines. So why should I do it differently? Only because the music is bad? Just joking, sorry. Where do all these great German Death Metal bands come from? Well, EPICEDIUM might already be called "veterans" compared to most of the other acts I came across lately as they were founded in 1996 and already released a CD before this one. This experience shines through indeed. Of course there are always details one can improve but I'm sure the next CD will be even better because this band sounds hungry! The fire is definitely burning, they're good song writers and excellent musicians. Consequently, there is no excuse for you not to contact the band and order your copy of "Conspiracy With The Death"! By the way: great live cover version of 'Hammer Smashed Face' on here! I hope they can make it to "Ear Terror Pt. 2" next year! http://welcome.to/epicedium
