EVIL INCARNATE
Blackest Hymns Of God's Disgrace
(Morbid Records)
30:31min

Wow! What a blast! Michael Eisenhower (ex-NUM SKULL) and Co. finally present their official debut album containing half an hour of pure rage and blasphemy. This album is heavy and intense, just the way I like Death Metal. Some of the sound effects remind me of NILE, but apart from that it is real old school what we hear after a short atmospheric intro. The rather short songs are reduced to their basics and that's a good idea, you don't get confused by unnecessary and complicated song structures (which sometimes can be nice, though). I still don't fully understand the lyrics of the opening song 'Satanic Victory' but as Mike assured me he is no Nazi, I'll leave it up to you to interprete that track. Another (less) problematic issue is the fact that this CD is only 30 minutes long - but I'd rather have a short and good record than 70 minutes of boredom! Cool cover, by the way: a red painting on black showing demonic scenes on an inverted cross! Can I get this on vinyl, please?
