EXACT DIVISION
EXACT DIVISION
Be Fair If You Can
(Nocturnus Records)
43:13min

It is not every day I am taking a trip down nostalgia road with an Ukranian band, it's not even quite often that you stumble across Ukranian bands for that matter. That has EXACT DIVISION set out to change, with their first full length album "Be Far If You Can". A nice mellow slab of Heavy Metal infused Thrash Metal delivered mid-paced and quite melodic. The music has a great drive to it, and is quite catchy. It is perhaps not the most groundbreaking riffing we are being presented for, though it is effective and does work. The same can be said of the guitar melodies, effective and doing their job, being quite inspired by MEGADETH by the phrasings and cut offs. And once in a while whole tracks are becoming an ode to the mentioned band, just take 'The Deep', where even the vocals are hitting it off Mustaine style. If you miss your daily dose of late 80s / start 90s American Heavy Thrash Metal dose, a tad updated, EXACT DIVISION is your band, they are hitting bullseye style wise, and deliver their music quite well and effective. This album is defintely worth a listen. More band information at: www.facebook.com/exactdivision, label contact: www.facebook.com/nocturnusrecords
