GOREZONE
GOREZONE
Promo 2003
(self-financed)
13:26min

"The main purpose of this recording is a promotional one!" is printed inside this new release by the East Friesian five piece GOREZONE... So, I suppose that they won't have any intentions to sell this 4 tracker and rather use it in order to get a label interested in their brutal music. And considering what's currently being released within the Death Metal scene their chances definitely aren't bad at all to secure a proper record deal pretty quick! Never heard their previous output "Erase The Scum", which Ramon reviewed not too long ago, but they obviously dropped all the mentioned sound samples completely and focused on music exclusively this time. A good decision if you ask me. The four tracks on offer here ('Panzerterror', 'Feeding The Insane', 'Fuck You' and 'Bunker Buster') once again got recorded at Soundlodge Studio, so as expected, production-wise this is completely convincing. When it comes to their songwriting GOREZONE also deliver the very brutal US style Death Metal with inhuman, deep grunted vocals, very skilled musicianship and over the top brutality! Most of the bands of this kind (which I would like to label the "DISGORGE[US] style" here) are not really my cup of coffee, as I can't stand this monotonous way of "singing", but considering the big success of many of them at the moment, I'm pretty sure that the East Frisians will easily find their fanbase as well and with that in mind would perfectly fit to the Unique Leader roster... If all this caught your interest now, feel free to contact them through their website (www.gore-zone.de) for all further info.
