GRAVELESS
GRAVELESS
Condemned To A Nameless Death
(Zombie Ritual tapes)
21:47min

The "Metal of Death Uppsala" logo stands proud in the booklet of this demotape and GRAVELESS are another young band featuring musicians who are also active in bands as KATALYSATOR / INVIDIOUS, DEGIAL or EVISCERATOR. Knowing the other bands I have to admit that "Condemned To A Nameless Death" is a good demotape but stands behind the outputs of the mentioned three bands. The music itself is quite good and the guitarriffs might be fantastic, the problem is that the messy sound on this recording ruins a lot. These songs recorded in a better sound quality, perhaps in a better studio (or real studio??) would make this effort far better. It's clear that the musicians here are, despite their young age, very talented but I feel that they should concentrate and focus on just one or 2 bands per person and not trying to release as much as possible with all possible bands and constellations especially when we are talking about bands which appeal to the same group of listeners who are buying release like this demo. I would like that the band next time focus on a better sound and perhaps next time we can expect the killer songs we are looking for. Right now it's an "OK" tape for those who are looking for each newcomer in the Death Metal world, especially in Sweden. Hopefully this tape is still available through the Blood Harvest mailorder (http://bloodharvest.se/catalog/) otherwise get in tough with the band directly at www.myspace.com/condemnedtoanamelessdeath.
