HATESPAWN / CHARON

HATESPAWN / CHARON
Mass Celebration
(Sepulchral Voice Records)
12:18min

HATESPAWN is definitely one of the most promising bands of the new wave of darkened old school Death Metal and I'm eagerly waiting for the HATESPAWN debut full-length... but unfortunately it is not in sight yet. So we have to be happy with just one new song on this split 7" and if you are as much into this fiendish German horde as I am you'll surely love this new track. 'Mass Celebration Part I - The Invocated Awakening' is a typical HATESPAWN composition in the vein of the outstanding "Ascent From The Kingdom Below" from 2007 and the split with DEAD CONGREGATION. So nothing has changed. Great song, great band!!! CHARON, which is another band of A.k.a. Deathmonger, the HATESPAWN vocalist, delivers a mixture of Death, Black and Thrash Metal which fits fine with the rotten Death Metal sound of their companions. As I prefer pure Death Metal CHARON's song 'Mass Celebration Part II - Spell & Revelation' is too blackish for my personal taste, but I guess most of you will enjoy it. Just as usual the Sepulchral Voice releases come with a proper packaging and a great unholy cover artwork. So listen to the call from the grave and get your fingers on this fine piece of vinyl as soon as possible. www.myspace.com/hatespawnofficial, www.sepulchralvoice.de
