Death Kurwa! Live In Warsaw 2013
(Bestial Invasion Records)
48:42min

I’m definitely not the biggest fan of live albums or bootlegs but sometimes there are live recordings which definitely kick ass and this is the case here. The sound of “Death Kurwa! Live In Warsaw 2013” is good but not perfect, it’s more like a bootleg recording. But don’t get me wrong “Death Kurwa” sounds pretty solid; you just should not expect a high-tech professional live recording. This show was recorded in Warsaw / Poland during the band’s first and only European tour in 2013. I had the pleasure to see the show in Wermelskirchen / Germany back then and the Death Cult totally ruled that night. And while listening to “Death Kurwa!” great memories of that show pop up. I don’t have to describe what kind of music those Brazilian veterans play nor do I have to explain the importance of those masters of unholy Death Metal. The tracklist covers songs from almost all HEADHUNTER D.C. albums so far and that’s pretty cool (unfortunately though not the entire show had been recorded back then, so this CD only covers 7 songs, which is a real pity since the atmosphere of the recording is just amazing and the energy of the band definitely comes across way better than in a more professional recorded release! - Frank). A strange thing is that the Polish audience is shouting “Kurwa, Kurwa…” between the songs. Doesn’t “Kurwa” mean “whore”? Anyway, it’s obvious that the audience enjoyed the show. And so do I while listening to this recording… To sum it up, this is a must have for all fans of the Death Cult and a reminder that the band should come back to Europe very soon. Hail the Death Cult! Hail the Metal of Death! www.facebook.com/headhunterdc, www.bestialinvasionrecords.co.uk
