HELLVETO
HELLVETO
Neoheresy
(Pulverised Records)
35:12min

The Polish Black Metal scene has become smaller and smaller over the years. The main reason is that the few Polish acts which can advise an international status "realized" their Death Metal roots and left to conquer MORBID ANGEL territory. HELLVETO are part of this traditional scene since 1996 and honestly speaking "Neoheresy" is my first contact with this band and taking into account the quality of this release I should bow my head and ask the Dark Lord for forgiveness. The band is playing great Epic Pagan Metal and they are - like the almighty NEGURA BUNGET - in the position to transfer their heritage, history and emotions into their music. The atmosphere is supported by their lyrics in their mother tongue and the added folklore parts which are woven into the six songs like gold into a precious piece of jewelry. But the music is still very powerful and I think after nearly 20 official releases in form of demos, split CDs etc it's time for the only member L.O.N and his project HELLVETO to leave the wooden hut in the Carpathian forest to show that not only Rumania has the right environment to create great Pagan Metal. www.hellveto.com, www.pulverised.net.
