HUNGRY JOHNNY
HUNGRY JOHNNY
Depraved At Birth
(self-financed)
20:50min

The first band that came to mind was OVERKILL. It's another old school Thrash band which isn't necessarily a good thing. How many of these bands do we need anymore when we've still got many of the original kreators (lol) still performing? I'm afraid Hungry Johnny (what's with the lame name?) just don't offer anything unique or intriguing here. On the positive side, the bass playing is quite good and even audible! If Johnny makes a full length, I do hope they can mature a bit by adding some of their own ideas instead of wearing their (respectable) influences so strongly on their sleeve. Je suis desole (hmm... I really wonder what kind of release you actually had been listening to, Jesse?! This is 100% NUCLEAR ASSAULT worship - especially in the vocal department - and they do it with a lot of class! Oh well, I agree on the stupid name though... - Frank). www.myspace.com/hungryjohnny
