HYPOCRISY
HYPOCRISY
10 Years Of Chaos And Confusion
(Nuclear Blast Records)
103:37min

It's really weird - when I published an HYPOCRISY interview in our little debut issue, back in 1992, most of the people were throwing shit at me for that. In their opinion the band was nothing but another rather superfluous and much hyped band on the Nuclear Blast roster. Now, almost ten years later, HYPOCRISY is one of the best selling bands in the Death Metal genre, so I really wonder who bought all the HYPOCRISY albums and supported the band in such a massive way then?! Anyway, fact is that this 10 year anniversary release is a fuckin' masterpiece by all means! Not only that the regular album features a killer and perfectly balanced mixture of HYPOCRISY's best tracks (six of them in re-recorded, way more convincing versions!), this boxset also includes a bonus disc with their 1991 and '92 demos, 6 promotional videos and a brandnew (not so convincing) track by the name of 'Turn The Page'. The booklet comes up with tons of pictures from various periods in the band's career and the design of the boxset itself is nothing but impressive. So, even if you never cared for HYPOCRISY before, you should take some time to listen to this. It might not only change your opinion, but maybe even turn you into another HYPOCRISY addicted! Excellent!
