THE HORN
THE HORN
Volume 10
(Shaytan Productions)
74:45min

The Demon Sheen, the one man occultist evoking the dead through silent slithers, chants and mesmerizing Egyptian ambience. The spells are taken from the Egyptian sacred text "The Book of the Dead". That, as a brief introduction to this 1-man project act hailing from Victoria, Australia. THE HORN has released many albums (volumes) thus far by himself that have all been available as free download - and "Volume 10" is actually the first physical CD release put out by other than Mr. The Horn himself, containing of 14 tracks and over 74 minutes of Ambient / Industrial Black Metal, which unfortunately does not meet my musical likings at all. All this Ambient / Industrial Black Metal thing is somehow too far-fetched to me - and there's really nothing in there that could grab my attention when trying to spin a disc like this as my late night activities. I honestly think even riding on the back of camel would be a way easier task for me to accomplish than trying to understand what's really going on THE HORN's "Volume 10". This stuff simply puts me to sleep at best - and perhaps that's an achievement in itself, too. However, more about this at: www.myspace.com/thehornproject, www.shaytanproductions.com
