INHUMATE
INHUMATE
Growth
(Grind Your Soul Distribution)
32:07min

I'm not really a big fan of Grindcore, but still have to admit that this scene deserves a lot of respect for being so incredibly active throughout the years. All involved bands, labels, zines, distributors etc. are probably far more honest in what they're doing than in any other underground movement as they never had to sell their soul to the mainstream devil. French INHUMATE is one of them. They are around since 1990 already and ever since have released two demos, a bunch of split tapes, appeared on several compilations and most recently finished their third full length album "Growth", which is a 17 track assault of mostly rather short songs somewhere between brutal Death Metal and extreme Grindcore. Even though I usually don't listen to this kind of music, it's more than obvious that they exactly know what they're doing and that the incredible amount of live shows that they have already played (a.o. with AGATHOCLES, CANNIBAL CORPSE, CRYPTOPSY, IMMOLATION, NILE, VADER, SIX FEET UNDER and so on) has turned them into pretty good musiciancs. "Growth" is a fairly well produced yet very extreme release which furthermore comes up with a very dedicated lyrical concept. This is already the third part of the band's planned heptalogy, based on the concept of life and the abolition of time. So, if you are on the lookout for some really intense blasting brutality, make sure to give this guys a listen. All further info at: www.inhumate.maxximum.org
