Chaos, Dissection, Order
(Osmose Productions)

For those of you not familiar with INHUME, they are a Grindcore band from the Netherlands with quite a few albums already underneath their belt. I am by no means an expert on Grindcore but I know what I like and I like this. With this music I usually don't hear much variety but this CD actually varies the tempo a little bit from song to song, which is nice because it keeps the whole album from sounding like a 30 minute blast beat. The production fits the music. It is a little muddy but I personally prefer it this way for this stuff, it adds to the atmosphere. I always pay close attention to the drumming and this guy gets the job done. He sounds more "straightforward" than "over the top". I don't know for sure but would guess that the vocals are processed on a lot of the songs. This is by no means a bad thing, it is par for the course with this music and I personally like the way they sound. To give you an idea they reminded me of the vox in Squash Bowels (another good Grindcore band). Bottom line, if you're into this type of Metal then you won't be disappointed. A solid offering. Aside from the music I also like the artwork on this album, it's a little classier than normal. You can get info on them here:
