MARTYRDOM
MARTYRDOM
Pagan's Hymn
(Dying Art Productions)
48:23min

Actually when I listened to this piece of Black Metal lunacy the first two or three times I considered to only state in my review that this output is utter bullocks and crap in general. But I changed my mind. MARTYRDOM are so crazy and frantic - believe me. Y'know I am really into blasphemous, primitive and uncompromising Black Metal stuff. And these sickos definitely provide me with this kind of shit. MARTYRDOM succeeded in creating a disgusting and unprecedented oeuvre. The production of this album is so raw and shitty, the drums are so fucking fast, the vocals are hoarse and evil. The whole thing just makes sense I think. This output represents true underground Black Metal spirit that gives a shit about trends and catchy song-structures. Just right, and again - the production - it is soooo raw and disgusting. It really hurts when you listen to it --- not very nice, haha. The whole thing sounds like the amps of the guitarists have loose contacts or are absolute crap. But - strange enough - this just suits the music right. Very dark, very sick, very underground. Good stuff! Contact: hades@murkyart.net / bdvelvet@hotmail.com
