MATHYR

MATHYR
Mandraenken
(Animate Records)
37:59min

"Mandraenken" is the second album of the German band MATHYR. Well, what can I say about that album. The musical skills of the four members stand above any doubt and with those skills they offer a bastard of Thrash, Death and Black Metal on "Mandraenken". But in my eyes this does not work. While listening to this album I can't get rid of the feeling that they take a bit of every band they like out of the different genres mentioned above and row and mix up the different riffs. Sorry, but it takes a lot more to create great music than being able to handle your instruments technically perfect. Label contact: www.animate-records.com, band contact: sagrim@web.de
