MYSTICA
MYSTICA
Blinded By My Blood
(Painkiller Records)
35:02min

MYSTICA hails from Belgium and this debut album is my first meeting with this band. And a nice one it is indeed. MYSTICA plays some kind of a combination between Death and Black Metal. No hyper speed kind of Black / Death Metal but more mid-tempo stuff with a lot of variety. Therefore it is very hard to categorize this band, one moment I am hearing inspirations from bands such as new IMMORTAL and one second later I hear a MOTÖRHEAD kinda riff. The band uses grunts comined with extreme screams, this nice mix of styles evolves into one metallic warmachine. The recordings are excellent, and the CD contains another masterpiece-cover done by the legendaric Kris Verwimp. It is released as a standard jewelcase and a limited edition digipak. So make sure you get your copy as soon as possible. More info or orders can be send to Painkiller Records (www.painkiller-records.com)
