NARCOTIC GREED
NARCOTIC GREED
Twicet Of Fate
(World Chaos Production)
34:15min

I have to admit that I wasn't really aware of these Japanese Old school Thrashers before I received this release, but I certainly won't forget about them from now on, that's for sure! The ten featured (highly impressive) songs on their new album "Twicet Of Fate" deliver perfectly executed raw Thrash Metal with clean, yet aggressive and very energetic vocals that partly remind me on INTRUDER's classic debut "Live To Die", even though NARCOTIC GREED's music in general comes across a lot heavier. There's no annoying modern elements in their songwriting at all (so, all stupid MACHINE HEAD, BIOHAZARD & co. worshippers can simply fuck off!) and for them Thrash definitely still means Thrash and gets spelled with a capital "T"! The band's origin already goes back to 1989, but ever since they unfortunately had to suffer from various line-up changes, only leaving guitarist Hiroshi "Warzy" Yamashita as an original member nowadays. Two demos (in 1991 and 1992 respectively) as well as another full length ("Fatal", released in 1994) were put out previously to this new album and the band even toured Europe (England, France, Switzerland & Italy) in support of it. But due to the fact that no company overhere seemed to care to release / license their stuff so far, NARCOTIC GREED still remain a pretty unknown act. Let's hope that this will change for the better and that the releases of World Chaos Production (who also brought us the excellent TERROR SQUAD album!) will also be available more easily in our areas soon.
