NEAR DEATH CONDITION
NEAR DEATH CONDITION
Evolving Towards Extinction
(Unique Leader Records)
51:10min

This is already this Swiss Death Metal patrol NEAR DEATH CONDITION's 3rd album, carrying the title "Evolving Towards Extinction". Their previous album, "The Disembodied - In Spiritual Spheres", released in 2011, strongly lifted up the band's name on the lips among the people in the Death Metal community. On "Evolving...", one can expect more of the same uncompromisingly and tightly played, extreme Death Metal in the vein of HATE ETERNAL, NECROPHAGIST, MORBID ANGEL, IMMOLATION, VITAL REMAINS and CANNIBAL CORPSE (sorry for the name dropping but you get an idea). NEAR DEATH CONDITION have basically got all of those typical elements of brutal US Death Metal presented in their sound that undoubtedly make many of us check them out, even for the sake of those other band names alone mentioned above. Indeed, this is a pretty convincingly played stuff from start to finish; definitely something for the fans of US - tinged Death Metal in particular but there's a minor problem with this record here: the album sounds kinda stuffed and lesser amount of this sheer musical brutality and technicality would have worked out slightly better, I guess. 51 minutes seem to be a bit overdose for simple minds (like mine) because it's hard to keep up your interest for this record for that long. Cutting like 10 minutes away out of the content supposedly would have done a trick better. Nonetheless, sincerely said this is still a somewhat strong and solid record from this Swiss Death Metal spreading squad, so by all means check this out if you are a fan of strongly US reeking, brutal and technical Death Metal. No 'wow' effect to be found from this record though. NEAR DEATH CONDITION can be found at: www.facebook.com/officialneardeathcondition, label: www.uniqueleader.com
