NECROHOLOCAUST / OBEISANCE
NECROHOLOCAUST / OBEISANCE
Bringers Of Black Genocide
(Chalice Of Blood Angel Productions)
11:22min

I used love getting 7" EPs for being a quick and cheap way for discovering new and exciting acts that may potentially became my new record hunting target. Nowadays, it turned into a hit or miss affair given the considerable amount of crap given the vinyl treatment without actually being worth enough of it. On this slab presented here for review, I can safely say none of the bands included are going to take your sleep or even make you steal to spend some cash on this. Both are somewhat similar in style (war-like Death / Black), unfortunately the only common factor is their remarkable lack of abilities to make a lasting impression. NECROHOLOCAUST, the least boring of the two, managed to keep my attention due to the decent musicanship / structured ideas that if expanded to a full-lenght would make into a great album. OBEISANCE, a more familiar name for me, proves once again that they are on a downward spiral, that has not stopped after releasing their debut album. Not sure if the lineup changes or amateur production of their subsequent releases have weakened their motivation but their half in this split is simply a bad joke. By the way, Can someone tell these guys that they are seriously in need of a decent drummer? http://chaliceofbloodangel.free.fr/, www.myspace.com/4necroholocaust, www.myspace.com/obeisance
