NECROMANCY

NECROMANCY
Hanged In Hässelby
(Unborn Productions)
30:00min

This is the 4th release of a new born label, the Norwegian Unborn Productions. The tape (limited to 200 copies) is entitled "Hässelby 2008 - 2010" and contains the first two demos of NECROMANCY, a young Swedish band coming from Hässelby. The 1st demo "Rites Of Necromancy" demo #1 09 (released by the band in 60 copies) gets inspiration from both dirt Death / Black Metal and Punk and I guess it's no coincidence that the skeleton on the cover has a Mohawk on the skull. This first effort has some clear earwigs in its veins and the basic drumming hides crawling in vomits. The TREBLINKA's resemblance is also enriched by some "Apocalyptic Raids" vibes in places, especially if you listen to the title track which is for sure the best moment of the first attempt. The 2nd demo "Magic Alchemy Occultism" demo #2 10 (released by the band in 100 copies) has definitely a more mature offer which left behind the Punk assonance. It shows an overall better sound but is still characterized by simple rough riffs like BATHORY used to do in their heydays. To be 100% honest with our readers I was sitting and waiting for something to happen, but it never completely did. To make this simple: if you enjoy HELLHAMMER and the likes this is for you.... in defense of the old dirty putrid production!
